Suggested parking locations for the start/finish are public places, with theft and vandalism a real possibility, especially in cities. Park during the event at your own risk. Please do not leave valuables in your car during the ride.

Lodging

Traveling far? Several motels are available in the area. Make your own reservations by calling the hotel directly.

Finish

After the ride there is generally a gathering of tired and thirsty randonneurs either at Pipolo's Pizza, or at the Ship Inn. Check your brevet card for the exact finish controle designation. Pipolo's has a bit of a old school appearance inside, but  that's one of the endearing charms about the restaurant. The Ship Inn has an English pub atmosphere, serving craft-brewed ales, ciders, and home-made, British-inspired foods with locally sourced ingredients.

Ride Description

Hopewell Library

With the prospect of winter weather conditions, this course mostly traverses primary roads with wide shoulders. Based on the Beyond Hope to New Hope course, we start this time in the middle at the Milford Bridge St Bagel and Deli, where we head head north, to Hope. At the Hope controle, we turn around and backtrack for a while, but instead of heading down the river all the way to New Hope, this time we veer a little East through Bloomsburg to climb Jugtown Mountain on Tunnel Rd, and then to climb Sourland Mountain. Eventually we reach Hopewell, an interesting small town where riders can relax and eat a warm meal at the Brick Market. This controle is the southern extent of the course. We turn north again as we work our way along the Delaware River back to the finish in Milford.

There are several steep, extended climbs. Appropriate gearing recommended.
