General Info
This ride is a randonneur style event sanctioned by RUSA, and ACP offered to promote participation in the R-12 challenge.  PA Randonneurs club membership is required in order to participate.  In the spirit of pure randonneuring, minimal support is provided before, during, and after the ride.

First time riding with PA Randonneurs?  Read an overview of what to expect on your first PA brevet. All participants are obliged to follow the rules for riders as well as PA and NJ vehicle laws.  Safety is a primary concern ... please read and carry these Safety Instructions with you.

Preride Breakfast
Breakfast available at the start (open at 6AM)

Registration
1) PA Randonneurs club membership is required in order to participate. 
2) Contact the ride organizer: Tom Rosenbauer
3) Print out cuesheet. 
4) $10 registration fee due at sign-in.

Schedule6:00AM Sign-in and Bike Inspection opens
7:20AM Rider meeting
7:30AM Riders depart (~13:30 hr. time limit)

Daylight hours: 7:33 AM -  5:56 PM

NOTE: Riders finishing after 5:56 PM without lights and reflectors will be disqualifed.

Start Controle
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before scheduled start time.
- Sign-in, pay fee to organizer, and collect brevet card.
- Get bike inspected
- Rider meeting, 10 minutes before scheduled start time

Finish Controle
- Get final stamp
- Initial sign-in sheet and record finish time.
- Sign brevet card and deposit it in envelope at cash register

Ride Description

Starting from Portland, we follow the Delaware River south through Belvidere, and stopping at the Milford Bakery.  We then head over to Little York where we climb up Sweet Hollow Road descend into Asbury.  At Asbury, we follow the Musconetcong River north to Port Murray where we head over the ridge to the Great Meadows controle .  The route continues to points north to Allamuchy, Tranquility and into the Millside Cafe in Lafayette.  We then head west and then south into Swartswood State Park where we stop at the quaint Stillwater General Store before returning through Blairstown and back into Portland.

There are several steep, extended climbs.  A triple or 39x27 is highly recommended.
