Ride Description (updated 4/19/16)
Taking advantage of the light traffic in the early morning hours, we head directly through Bethlehem towards the first controle stop in Cherryville.  We then  make our first crossing over the Applachian Trail at Little Gap.  After an exhilarating descent past the Blue Mountain Ski resort, we follow the valley road which offers spectacular views of the mountain ridge off to our right.  The next stop is the "Apple Pie" bakery in Water Gap.  The 200k riders will split off and start their return trip through Portland while the 300k riders will continue north into the PA side of the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area. After a controle stop at the Hainesville Deli - the omelets and tuna subs have both been highly recommended in the past,  riders head back south on the NJ side of the park, into Water Gap and joining the 200k route.

The return trip home continues along the Delaware River through Belvidere, Stewartsville, and with a penultimate controle in Bloomsbury. The route then follows the Musconetcong River on to Riegelsville.  We return to PA at Riegelsville. But instead of the Rt 611 & Rt412 routing on previous events, the return trip follows quieter backroads through Nockamixon and Haycock.

There are several steep, extended climbs.  A triple or 39x27 is highly recommended.
